With The Pinball Arcade, FarSight Studios have brought classic pinball tables from Williams, Bally, and Stern to the PlayStation 4, 3, and Vita, iOS and Android devices, PCs, and the even the Kindle Fire and Ouya. But how exactly do they recreate those classic pinball machines so exactly, and what does the future hold for this series (and does that include bringing this series to the Xbox One)? The Walking Dead Table For Pinball FX 2 & Zen Pinball 2 Review

The Walking Dead adventure game by Telltale is arguably one of the most engaging adventure games of the last few years. But what would’ve made that emotionally gripping game even better is if there had been a metal ball flying around the whole time, knocking into things.

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW: Toy Rush Project Lead John Comes

In many tower defense games, your towers are defended and attacked by characters of the sci-fi or fantasy persuasion. But in the iOS tower defense game Toy Rush, your attackers and defenders are toys…adorable, adorable toys. Exclusive Interview: Blast Zone!’s Christopher Pfeiffer

One of the irritating things about being a game journalist is when developers say their game is unique when it clearly isn’t. “Yeah, it’s a sci-fi first-person shooter, and you wear power armor and talk to a blue hologram lady…but it’s nothing like Halo.” Which is why it was a relief to interview Blast Zone! executive producer Christopher Pfeiffer about his — by his own admission — Bomberman-esque game for iOS, Android, and Amazon devices.

Exclusive Interview: “Bomb Buds” Designer Jim Burner

If you give your mobile game a name like Bomb Buds, you’re just asking for someone to make jokes about weed. But in talking to Fugazo Inc.’s Jim Burner, the game designer on this iOS and Android strategic action battle game — if that even is his real name, and not another pot joke — he didn’t just make a couple weed-related quips, he veered into what would’ve been legally-implicating territory…had Fugazo’s hometown of Seattle not just legalized marijuana. As they say, smoke ’em if you got ’em.
