With zombies in space, some people reading Timothy Johnson’s debut novel Carrier (Permuted Press: paperback, digital) might think, “Oh, so it’s like those Dead Space games.” But in talking to Johnson about the book, it’s clear that while he may have played those games, he was actually more inspired by movies…that also inspire those games.

The Walking Dead adventure game by Telltale is arguably one of the most engaging adventure games of the last few years. But what would’ve made that emotionally gripping game even better is if there had been a metal ball flying around the whole time, knocking into things.
I make no bones about the fact that the third season of The Walking Dead pissed me off. Watching two guys make stupid decisions because of their egos is not my idea of a good time. But while the aftermath of their idiocy continues for a while in The Walking Dead The Complete Fourth Season — which Anchor Bay are releasing on Blu-ray, DVD, and as a special limited edition Blu-ray — the second half goes in such a different direction that it’s renewed my hope for this show.

The kicker being that Garth is a himself a zombie, and Garrett’s conjoined twin.
