“Godzilla” Game Review

With the exception of the original Gojira, the Roland Emmerich’s 1998 in-name-only American edition, and 2014’s excellent comeback, most Godzilla movies have been rather low-budget. So it makes sense that this eponymous game — which was just released on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 — would be low-budget-looking, too. It’s just too bad the gameplay is rather low-rent as well.

Ant-Man For Zen Pinball 2 And Pinball FX 2 Review

Just as they did a few months ago with Avengers: Age Of Ultron, the good people at Zen Studios are celebrating the new Ant-Man movie with a pinball table for Zen Pinball 2 (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Vita), Pinball FX 2 (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC), Zen Pinball (iOS), Zen Pinball HD (Android, Amazon), and Marvel Pinball (iOS, Android, Amazon). But while the table has some elements fans of the comic might expect, it also has some unexpected elements that make it an addictive table.

Video Game Analysts Discuss The State Of The Industry…And Pop Culture

Recently, one of the editor of the video game magazine Game Informer left his job because, and I’m paraphrasing here, he “didn’t recognize the industry anymore.” It’s a sentiment that I, and I’m sure many of you, can relate to. The video game industry has changed dramatically in the last few years, and as someone who loves to play big action game on consoles, I sometimes wonder if I’ll be able to find games to play in five or ten years. But at the same time, there are new avenues for gaming that are opening up every day.

What got me thinking about this was that my pal Raymond, who you may know better as RPad of rpad.tv, did some interviews with Michael Pachter, an industry analyst with Wedbush Securities, and Greg Essig, the head of business development at FunPlus, in which he briefly chatted with them about their upcoming talks at DICE Europe 2015, in which they’ll be discussing these very topics. Though he also asked them about Game Of ThronesThe Avengers, and Sigur Ros.

Anyway, I thought you might want to check them out. You can see Raymond’s story here.

Portal Table For Pinball FX 2 & Zen Pinball 2 Review

While Zen Studios have spent much of the last few years making numerous Star Wars and Marvel Comics tables, they’ve occasionally found the time to adapt other video games — including Telltale’s Walking Dead adventure game, Tecmo’s Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, and their own Castle Storm — into fun tables as well. The latest of these is based on Valve’s Portal, which is coming to Zen Pinball 2 (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Vita), Pinball FX 2 (Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC), Zen Pinball (iOS), and Zen Pinball HD (Android, Amazon). And while I would’ve preferred a Half-Life 2 table, since I like that shooter more than the puzzling Portal, even I found myself getting swept up by this table.

Exclusive Interview: Til Mornings Light Director/Designer/Writer Adam Tierney

While Halloween may have come and gone, that doesn’t mean people aren’t looking for a good scare. Which brings me to Til Mornings Light, a spooky game from WayForward Technologies for iOS, Amazon Fire Phone, and Amazon Fire Tablets. Though in talking to WayForward’s Adam Tierney — the game’s director, designer, and writer — it seems the idea behind the game isn’t just to freak you out. Well, maybe a little.
