Gentle Giant have announced that they will release a statue of Captain America based on how he looks in the upcoming movie Captain America: The Winter Soldier at the end of 2014. Which is probably when the movie will be coming to DVD, Blu-ray, and digital services (though don’t quote me on that).
The 1/4 scale statue is 18-inches tall, and based on a digital scan of actor Chris Evans in his outfit from the movie. It will be hand-painted, made of polystone, and will be individually numbered with a matching certificate of authenticity. It will retail for $399.00.
The Captain America statue is the second that Gentle Giant are making in honor of the movie, which hits theaters on April 4th. They’re also releasing a similar statue of Black Widow based on how she looks in the movie a few months prior to the Cap one. You can read details about that collectible here.
