While 2020 was the worst year in recent memory, there were some bright spots, and not all of them involved Fleetwood Mac and fruit juice. There were some good video games as well.
Here, in the order I played them (more or less), are the best games I played in 2020.
As the co-creator of the comic book iZombie, which inspired the TV series of the same name, Chris Roberson knows from undead. Who better then to write Zombie Army: Fortress Of The Dead (paperback, Kindle), a new novel based on the World War II shooter games Zombie Army Trilogy and the just-released Zombie Army 4: Dead War [my review of which you can read here]. But while this led to his own death at the end of Zombie Army Trilogy, the new Zombie Army 4: Dead War (Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC) shows that the war against the living impaired is still being waged. And while it may not be going well for those hoping to stay alive and free, those hoping to shoot lots of Nazi zombies from the third-person perspective will mostly enjoy this frantic shooter. Mostly.
