Exclusive Interview: “The Fractured Void” Author Tim Pratt

As anyone who’s read any of the Halo or Dungeons & Dragons novels will tell you, novels based on games usually require readers to be players of said games to be understood, let alone appreciated. But apparently, it need not be that way.

Take The Fractured Void (paperback, Kindle), a sci-fi space opera novel based on the strategic board game Twilight Imperium. As author Tim Pratt explains, not only do you not have to play T.I. to enjoy this story, you wouldn’t have had to play the game to write this novel, either.

Exclusive Interview: “The Dreaming Stars” Author Tim Pratt

Tim Pratt’s sci-fi space opera The Wrong Stars was easily one of my favorite books last year. Now Pratt is continuing that story with The Dreaming Stars (paperback, Kindle), the second stand-alone story in his ongoing Axiom series.

In the following email interview, he discusses the origins of The Wrong Stars, how it connects to The Dreaming Stars, and how things are going with the third book, 2019’s The Forbidden Stars.

Exclusive Interview: “The Wrong Stars” Author Tim Pratt

After years of penning such fantasy novels as Heirs Of Grace and the Marla Mason series, writer Tim Pratt has started to explore the cosmos with his sci-fi novel, The Wrong Stars (paperback, Kindle), the first in an ongoing series.

Though in trading emails with him for the purpose of his interview, he revealed that while writing science fiction may be new for him, enjoying it certainly isn’t.
