Captain Marvel Review

While the Marvel movies introduce new characters with almost every installment, it’s been a while since they’ve done an origin story that’s as exciting, clever, and just plain well done as Captain Marvel. In fact, you’d have to go back eight years, to 2011’s Captain America: The First Avenger, to find an introduction that’s this effortlessly exhilarating.

“Thor: Ragnarok” Blu-ray, 4K, DVD Review

While it was far from perfect, Thor: Ragnarok was still an exciting and unapologetically fun action movie.

Star Wars The Last Jedi Review

The hope going into Star Wars The Last Jedi is that this sequel to Star Wars The Force Awakens will be the Empire Strikes Back of the new trilogy. Doctor Strange Movie Review

In the comics, Doctor Strange, like Ant-Man and Thor, has often worked better as a supporting character or as the member of a group than on his own. Which is both sad and odd, since he’s a rather interesting guy. So it’s a rather pleasant surprise that while the Doctor Strange movie isn’t as solid as The Avengers, Iron Man, or Captain America movies, it is much stronger — and, more importantly, more interesting — than Ant-Man and both Thor and Thor: The Dark World.
