Exclusive Interview: “Nomad” Author James Swallow

Among writer James Swallow’s many credits are books based on Star TrekDiscovery [Fear Itself] and Warhammer 40,000 [Sisters Of Battle: The Omnibus], audio dramas for Doctor Who and Stargate SG-1, and the scripts for such games as Deus Ex: Human Revolution, the Fallen Ghosts add-on for Ghost Recon: Wildlands, and next year’s The Division 2. But his newest war of words is actually not that new. Nomad (hardcover, Kindle) is an action thriller that was originally released in his native England two years ago, but is only now coming to the colonies.

In the following email interview, Swallow discusses this new old novel, as well as Mr. Dane’s other adventures, and whether we’ll be seeing him turn up in a certain upcoming game.

Exclusive Interview: “Star Trek: The Original Series: The Latter Fire” Author James Swallow

While the original mission of the Enterprise only made it through three of its planned five year schedule, it’s more than made up for it thanks to numerous Star Trek novels (and comics, and games…). The latest of which is James Swallow’s Star Trek The Original Series The Latter Fire (paperback, digital), which presents yet another adventure for Kirk, Spock, and their coworkers. Though in talking to Swallow about this book, it’s interesting to learn that Star Trek novels come with their own version of The Prime Directive.
