Among fantasy fans, there are many who worship at the alters of J.R.R. Tolkien, Robert E. Howard, and George R.R. Martin. But with 2010’s The Way Of Kings — the first in a ten book series called which, like his Mistborn series, is set in The Cosmere — writer Brandon Sanderson added his name to that list in the minds of many readers. Though in the brief interview that follows, Sanderson explains, among other things, why you need not worry about The Cosmere or publication order when you read The Way Of Kings or its just published sequel, Words Of Radiance.
Jeff Broadbent is no stranger to games. A composer and sound designer, he’s worked on the post-apocalyptic single-player-focused I Am Alive, the sci-fi online-only Planetside 2, the movie-inspired Transformers: Dark Of The Moon, the upcoming near-future military skirmish Tom Clancy’s Endwar Online, as well as his most recent work on the fantasy multiplayer online battle area game Dawngate. But in talking to him about that latter game, Broadbent went into how a game’s setting and genre can influence the music he makes for it.
With great picture and sound, as well as some good extras, the DVD/Blu-ray combo pack, 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo pack, and limited edition 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo pack of The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug are all a good way to watch this fantasy film in the comfort of your own home. Now M.S., sans Kojima, are hoping to replicate that game’s fun factor with Castlevania: Lords Of Shadows 2 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. But while it does misfire way more than its predecessor, it’s still a solid action game.

With the release of Game Of Thrones: The Complete Third Season as a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack, the latest installments in HBO’s faithful adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s epic fantasy novels is finally available in a convenient, take-home package. But if you’ve already seen these episodes, or still have the digital files you of course acquired legally, is there any reason to plunk down however many dollars this seasonal collection costs?
Well, yes, yes there is.
