Activision and Sledgehammer Games have announced — with a trailer — that the next Call Of Duty game will be called Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare, and that it will be released on Tuesday, November 11th.
The trailer for Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare was originally going to be debut during the NBA Finals this weekend, but after it was leaked by the game website Destructoid, Activision and Sledgehammer games quickly posted an official version to YouTube.
Which you can see here.
Not much is known about the game at this time, but from watching the trailer, it’s clear that Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare is set in a future that has exosuits, hover bikes, and climbing gloves, and will feature Kevin Spacey (House Of Cards, The Usual Suspects) in a pivotal role.
Call Of Duty: Advanced Warfare will also be the first Call Of Duty game from Sledgehammer Games, a studio started in 2009 by Glen Schofield and Michael Condrey, who had previously worked at EA on the Dead Space games (though Sledgehammer did help out on 2011’s Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3).
