Warner Bros. Digital Distribution have released a new trailer for the online video series Mortal Kombat: Legacy II, and have announced that the series will premiere on Machinima on September 26, with every episode available that day.
Directed by Kevin Tancharoen and co-written by Josh Baizer and Marshall Johnson — all of whom worked on the original Mortal Kombat: Legacy — this second series also brings back the original’s stars Ian Anthony Dale (Hawaii Five-O) as Scorpion and Cary Tagawa as Shang Tsung, a role he first played in the original 1995 Mortal Kombat movie.
Joining them in the cast are Harry Shum, Jr. (Glee) as the warlord adviser Kuai Liang, Casper Van Dien (Starship Troopers) as martial arts film actor Johnny Cage, Brian Tee (The Wolverine) as Liu Kang, and Mark Dacascos (Cradle 2 The Grave) as Kung Lao.
