FUNimation Announces July 2014 Anime DVDs And Blu-rays

FUNimation have announced what anime DVDs and Blu-rays they’ll be releasing this July, and it’s good news for fans of Deadman Wonderland, Hetalia, and Fairy Tail.

FUNimation will kick off the month with the July 1st release of the Super Amazing Value Edition of Shakugan No Shana: Season Two as a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack. This four disc set will include the original trailers, textless opening and closing songs, promo videos and commercials, commentaries on two episodes, and multiple featurettes. It will retail for $34.98, but is $26.24 on FUNimation’s website.

That same day also sees the release of A Certain Scientific Railgun: Season 2, Part 1 on DVD. This two disc set includes commentaries on two episodes, the original trailers, and textless opening and closing songs. It will retail for $59.98, but if you pre-order it from FUNimation’s website, it will not only cost $44.99 instead, but you’ll also be entered in a contest to win a Nendoroid figure of Mikoto Misaka, Kuroko Shirai, or Misaka Clone.

Then, the next week, FUNimation will release Ben To: Complete Series as both a regular and limited edition DVD/Blu-ray combo pack. Both versions will include commentaries on two episodes, the U.S. trailer, textless opening and closing songs, and a live action parody. The regular edition will be $64.98 (or $48.74 if you pre-order from shop.FUNimation.com), while the limited edition will be $69.98 (or $52.49 on FUNimation’s website).

FUNimation will then release Deadman Wonderland: Complete Series as a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack on July 15th. This two disc set will include actor and video commentaries, promo videos, commercials, both the Japanese and American trailers, and textless songs. It will retail for $34.98 (or $26.24 if you pre-order from shop.FUNimation.com).

That same day will also see the release of Fairy Tail: Part II as a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack. Along with both the Japanese and American trailers, this two-disc set will also include textless songs, actor commentaries, and “Todd Haberkorn At Otakon.” It will retail for $54.98 (or, of course, $41.24 from FUNimation’s website).

Finally, FUNimation will close out July on the 22nd with both regular and limited edition versions of Hetalia: Beautiful World: Season 5. Both versions will include outtakes, both the U.S. and Japanese trailers, multiple episode commentaries, “The Hidden History Hidden Within Hetalia” featurette, and a set of stickers. While the regular version will retail for $34.98 (or $26.24 from FUNimation’s website), the limited edition will be $39.98 (or $29.99 if you pre-order from shop.FUNimation.com).
