Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced that White House Down will be released on DVD and in a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack on November 5.
Directed by Roland Emmerich (Independence Day), this action flick stars Channing Tatum as a Washington D.C. cop who has to save the President, played by Jamie Foxx, when a paramility group storms the White House.
Along with the film, both the DVD and Blu-ray of White House Down will include a digital copy as well as four making-of featurettes on Emmerich, the supporting cast of Washington insiders, the chemistry between Tatum and Foxx, and how Tatum insisted on doing his own stunts.
In addition, the DVD/Blu-ray combo pack will also include a gag reel, and five additional featurettes on the president’s limo, the weapons used in the film, the visual effects, the story, the production, the lighting, both the Oval Office and White House sets, and the limo escape scene.
Though no price was announced, the DVD of White House Down is currently available for preorder from Amazon for $21.99 while the DVD/Blu-ray edition is $28.99.
