The Worst Video Games Of 2024

While 2024 wasn’t as good a year for video games as 2023, it also wasn’t as bad a year as 2023. Hence why my “Worst Games Of 2023” list had 8 games, and this list just has 3.

Though this may say more about me than the year in question.

Here’s my “list” (so to speak) of the worst games I played this year.

Worst Video Games Of 2024

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League

Developer: Rocksteady

Publisher: WB Entertainment

Systems: PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC

I’m not sure how you make a game with bad controls in 2024, especially when you’re a studio who had really good ones in your previous games, but this did, and they, in conjunction with an overwhelming malaise, made this a game I barely made it through alive. Er, awake.

SCORE: 4.0/10 (Click here to read my full review.)

Worst Video Games Of 2024

Drift X

Developer / Publisher: UMX Studio

Systems: iOS, Android

I don’t know what annoys me more about this free-to-play mobile racing game: how half of it is still “coming soon” or that the stuff they did include — like the controls and the race events (and I use the word loosely) — are badly in need of being reworked.

SCORE: 1.0/5 (Click here to read my full review.)

Worst Video Games Of 2024

Hajwala 2

Developer / Publisher: Rababa Games

Systems: PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, iOS, Android

While this racing game is fun once you adjust the controls, it’s lacking some basic motor functions, while also including a pointless (and badly explained) photo mode, and the option to get out of the car for no reason.

SCORE: 3/5 (Click here to read my full review.)

And, well, that’s it for 2024. Three bad games. If only every year was this terrible.

So, what were your least favorite games of 2024? Tell me in the comments below.

Or, if you’re more of a positive person, here’s the link to my Best Video Games Of 2024 piece.
