Diamond Select Toys have announced their exclusive releases for this years SDCC 2014, with collectibles for fans of Godzilla, Star Wars, Star Trek, The Walking Dead, The X-Men, Sin City, and Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.
For fans of Godzilla, Diamond Select will have an exclusive Godzilla Vinyl Bust Bank available. Based on how he looked in 1995’s Godzilla Vs. Destroyah, this 8-inch tall collectible was sculpted by Gentle Giant, will be limited to 1000 pieces, and will be available for $30.00.
Or you can save your money in the exclusive Star Wars Spirit Yoda Vinyl Bank. This 7-inch tall, translucent blue collectible comes with a cane, and has a coin slot in the back of his head. Because even Jedis need quarters for laundry sometimes. Limited to 1000, it will be available for $23.00.
For those more on the side of Star Trek in the epic battle of the sci-fi franchises, Diamond Select will have a replica of the U.S.S. Excelsior from when it was damaged during The Battle Of Khitomer. It even has a button that, when pressed, lights up the bridge, impulse engines, war nacelles, and deflector dish, as well as plays dialog of Captain Hikaru Sulu himself, George Takei. But there will only be 100 at the show, with each selling for $70.00.
Diamond Select will also be releasing new Minimates for both The Walking Dead and The X-Men at the show. The former will feature four characters — Rick, Glenn, Shane, and a zombie — as they appeared in the first issue of the comic: in black & white. These will be limited to 3000, with the set selling for $20.00.
As for The X-Men, their Minimates collection will feature four characters from the original 1981 comic book Days Of Future Past: Future Wolverine, Future Kitty Pryde, Mystique, and a Sentinel. Like the Walking Dead ones, this collection is also limited to 3000 and priced at $20.00.
With Sin City: A Dame To Kill For due in theaters on August 22nd, SDCC 2014 attendees will be able to celebrate the movie’s release with an exclusive action figure of Marv as he looks in the film. Dubbed Bloody Marv, the figure comes with a diorama base as well as what Diamond Select are calling “a variety of deadly accessories.” It will be limited to 1300 pieces, and available for $25.00.
Finally, Diamond Select will debut the Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back Cockknocker Retro Action Figure at the show (which, unlike their other SDCC 2014 offerings, will be available after the convention as well). In scale with the previously available Bluntman and Chronic figures, this 8-inch tall, cloth-costumed figure will be available for $20.00.
