Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced that they will release DVDs of both The Boondocks: The Complete Series and The Boondocks: The Complete Fourth Season on June 24th.
For fans of the whole show…who didn’t buy any of the previous DVDs, The Boondocks: The Complete Series is an eleven disc set of all fifty-five episodes, all of which will be uncut and uncensored. In addition, it will include all of the extras included on the previously released seasonal DVDs. This includes episode commentaries, video intros, featurettes, a photo gallery, and animatics.
For fans of the whole show who did get the previous seasonal sets, and aren’t disappointed by the new episodes, The Boondocks: The Complete Fourth Season will have all ten episodes from the season currently airing, as well as two new featurettes: “Boondocks Beats,” which looks at the music in the series, and “A Writers Perspective,” which has writer and executive producer Rodney Barnes talking about the show’s stories.
The fourth season of The Boondocks is currently airing Monday nights at 10:30 on Adult Swim, and should run until…well, what do you know, June 23rd.
Both DVDs are currently available for pre-ordering from Amazon, with The Boondocks: The Complete Series listed for $89.99, while The Boondocks: The Complete Fourth Season is $36.89.
