In his self-published science fiction novel The Spaceship Next Door, sci-fi writer Gene Doucette presented a world where aliens land on Earth…and then nothing happens for a couple years. With Spaceship being newly reprinted in paperback, and Kindle by John Joseph Adams Books, I took the opportunity to send Mr. Doucette some questions about the novel’s origins and influences for the following email interview.
