Sony Pictures Home Entertainment have announced that Powers The Complete First Season will be released on Digital HD on July 13, and then on Blu-ray and DVD on July 14.
For those unfamiliar with this series, it’s based on the ongoing comic series by writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Michael Avon Oeming that’s about a LAPD cop who used to be a superhero, and now works as a homicide detective specializing in cases that involve superheroes and supervillians.
As for the show, it stars Shallot Copley (District 9), Susan Heyward (The Following), and Noah Taylor (Game Of Thrones), and originally “aired” (so to speak) on the PlayStation Network.
Along with the ten episodes, the Powers The Complete First Season Blu-ray and DVD will also include a featurette called “Policing The Powerful: Envisioning And Filming Powers.”
In addition, the Powers The Complete First Season Blu-ray will also include deleted scenes, outtakes, and a second featurette titled “From One Visual Medium To Another: The And Adaptation Of Powers.”
No pricing was announced.
