Soundgarden have announced that they will release both a Deluxe and a Super Deluxe edition of their 1994 album Superunknown on June 3rd in honor of the album’s 20th anniversary.
The two-disc deluxe edition will include a remastered version of the original album, as well as a second disc called “Demos, Rehearsals, B-Sides & More” that will include:
1. Let Me Drown (demo) — previously unreleased
2. Black Hole Sun (demo) — previously unreleased
3. Half (demo) — previously unreleased
4. Head Down (rehearsal) — previously unreleased
5. Limo Wreck (rehearsal) — previously unreleased
6. The Day I Tried to live (rehearsal) — previously unreleased
7. Like Suicide (acoustic)
8. Black Days III a.k.a. “Fell On Black Days (demo, early version)
9. Birth Ritual (original demo version)
10. Exit Stonehenge
11. Kyle Petty, Son Of Richard
12. Jerry Garcia’s Finger
13. Spoonman (alternate Steve Fisk temix) — previously unreleased
14. The Day I Tried To live (Scott Litt mix) — previously unreleased
15. 4th of July (instrumental) — previously unreleased
16. Superunknown (instrumental) — previously unreleased
As for the five-disc Super Deluxe edition, it will include all of the tracks from the deluxe edition, but in a different configuration.
The second disc, titled “B-Sides And More,” will include:
1. The Day I Tried To live (alternate mix) — previously unreleased
2. Spoonman (alternate Steve Fisk remix) — previously unreleased
3. Beyond The Wheel (live)
4. Fell On Black Days (live)
5. Birth Ritual (original demo version)

The third disc will consist of previously unreleased demos of the songs“Let Me Drown,” “Fell On Black Days,” “Superunknown,” “Black Hole Sun,” “Spoonman,” “Fresh Tendrils,” “4th Of July,” “Half, and “Like Suicide,” while the fourth will have previously unreleased rehearsal versions of the songs “Black Hole Sun,” “Bing Bing Goes To Church,” “Half,” “Head Down,” “Kyle Petty, Son Of Richard,” “Let Me Drown,” “Limo Wreck,” “My Wave,” “Fresh Tendrils,” “Like Suicide,” “Ruff Riff-Raff,” “Exit Stonehenge,” “Spoonman,” “The Date I Tried To Leave,” and “The Day I Tried To Live.”
Then the fifth and final disc will be a Blu-ray with a 5.1 surround sound mix of the album with the 12-inch version of “She Likes Suprises” as a bonus track.
Superunknown will also be released as a double album on vinyl.
In addition, the album’s singles will also be reissued on as set of limited edition 10-inch vinyl in honor of Record Store Day 2014.
