American Recordings have announced that they will release ten of Slayer’s albums — including 1986’s Reign In Blood and 1988’s South Of Heaven — on vinyl on December 10.
All of the albums have been remastered from the original master tapes, will be pressed on 180-gram audiophile vinyl, and will feature the original art.
In addition, the first 500 will be pressed on blood red vinyl, though these copies won’t be marked and will be given to different stores randomly.
Besides Reign and Heaven, the other Slayer albums to get the vinyl treatment are 1990’s Seasons In The Abyss, 1991’s Decade Of Agression: Live, 1994’s Divine Intervention, 1996’s Undisputed Attitude, 1998’s Diabolus In Musica, 2001’s God Hates Us All, 2006’s Christ Illusion, and 2009’s World Painted Blood.
