Disney Home Video have announced that Monsters University will be available on DVD and Blu-ray on October 29, and for digital download on October 8.
While the DVD will just have the movie, a running commentary, and “The Blue Umbrella” short they showed before the movie, the 3- and 4-disc DVD/Blu-ray combo packs will add deleted scenes, an art gallery, promotional materials, and numerous making-of featurettes, includes looks at the writing, the lighting, the music, the designing of the school, the character acting, and how they made Sully and Mike look younger.
In addition, the 4-disc version will include the 3D version of the movie.
Though no prices were listed in the press release, Amazon currently has the DVD edition available for preorder for $26.99, the 3-disc DVD/Blu-ray combo pack for $30.99, and the 4-disc DVD/Blu-ray combo pack for $34.99.
