Gentle Giant have announced that they’ve got three Star Wars collectibles in the works, including a new Kenner Jumbo figure, a Clone Wars statue, and a special something for fans of The Star Wars Holiday Special.
First up is the Imperial Snowtrooper (Hoth Battle Gear) Kenner Jumbo figure which, like their other Kenner Jumbo figures, is a 12-inch tall but otherwise accurate reproduction of the original Kenner action figure.
Based on the original 3/4-inch tall toy, this version comes in reproduction of the original box, but with a resealable plastic shell so you can play with it.
It will be released in the second quarter of 2014 and will retail for $85.00.
Next up is the Yoda Hoth Statue, a 5.7-inch tall statue of the Jedi master that’s based on the artwork of Star Wars comics illustrator Adam Hughes, who, in turned, based his illustration on the way Yoda looks in the original Clone Wars cartoon by Gennedy Tartakovsky.
This limited edition statue will be individually numbered and come with a matching certificate of authenticity.
It will retail for $115.00 when it is released in the second quarter of 2014.
Finally, Gentle Giant takes us back to the ’70s for the Boba Fett Holiday Special Animated Maquette.
The statue is based on the way Boba looked in the infamous, and disavowed, Star Wars Holiday Special from 1978, which featuretted the bounty hunter making his debut in an animated segment.
As you can see from the note on the picture, the statue’s look still has to be approved by Lucasfilm, and Gentle Giant also didn’t mention the statue’s dimensions, but assuming nothing goes awry, the maquette will be available in the second quarter of 2014 for $139.00.
These and all of Gentle Giant’s cool collectibles can be preordered from gentlegiant.com.
