Summit Entertainment have announced that the sci-fi movie Ender’s Game will be released on DVD, in a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack, and digitally on February 11th.
Based on Orson Scott Card’s classic 1985 sci-fi novel, Ender’s Game follows the titular kid Ender (played by Asa Butterfield) as he goes through military training in hopes of defeating the aliens who previously decimated Earth and may be planning a second strike. It also stars Harrison Ford (Star Wars, Blade Runner) as Colonel Hyrum Graff, Viola Davis (Star Trek: First Contact) as Major Anderson, and Abigail Breslin as Ender’s sister Valentine, and was written anddirected by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine).
Along with the movie, both the DVD and DVD/Blu-ray combo pack will include a commentary by Producers Gigi Pritzker and Bob Orci, digital copy, as well as deleted/extended scenes with optional commentary by Director Gavin Hood.
In addition, the DVD/Blu-ray combo packwill also feature “Ender’s World: The Making Of Ender’s Game,” a forty-five minute long, eight-part making-of featurette.
Both versions are currently available for pre-ordering, with Amazon listing the DVD for $23.78 and the DVD/Blu-ray combo pack for $30.78.
