Universal Studios Home Entertainment have announced that they’ll release Despicable Me 2 on DVD, and in both a DVD/Blu-ray combo pack and a 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo pack on December 10, with the film hitting digital services on November 26.
Along with the movie, DVD will include a commentary by Directors Chris Renaud and Pierre Coffin, as well as the featurettes “Gadgets Galore,” about Gru’s wonderful toys, and “Gru’s Girls,” which has interviews with actors Miranda Cosgrove, Dana Gaier about voicing the three girls in the movie.
In addition, the DVD/Blu-ray combo packs will also include deleted scenes, a digital copy, a featurette called “The Minions” in which we visit the studios and hear the animators talk about working with The Minions, a second featurette on the purple Minions, an interview with star Steve Carell, a look at the movie’s bad guy titled “El Hombre Malo: The Villainy Of El Macho,” as well as three shorts about The Minions that are introduced by Gru and are paired with a featurette on the making of those shorts.
Further, the 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo pack will, naturally, have the movie in both 2D and 3D.
Despicable Me 2 is currently available for pre-ordering from Amazon, with the DVD listed for $19.99, the DVD/Blu-ray combo pack for $23.99, and the 3D DVD/Blu-ray combo pack for $34.99.
