Kickstarter Launched For H Jon Benjamin Starring Short Film

A Kickstarter campaign has been launched for Limbo, a short film that stars H. Jon Benjamin, the voice of Sterling Archer on Archer, Bob Belcher on Bob’s Burgers, and both Carl and Yoda on Family Guy, with his pal Dan Mintz — the voice of Tina on Bob’s Burgers — serving as consulting producer.

In Limbo, Jim (Benjamin), “has an embarrassing death and awakens in the afterlife. There, he’s granted what he wanted most on Earth: great sex, delicious food, bottomless alcohol, and other hedonistic desires. Naturally, Jim is wary of his new life. Once everything he ever wanted comes so easily, he starts to rethink his existence. Jim begins to question everything and must make a very difficult decision.”

The dark comedy is being made by Fangso Liu and Haines Landry, and is based on a short story written by Adam Spielman, which originally appeared in the /r/WritingPrompts section of Reddit.

The Kickstarter campaign for Limbo is looking to raise $30,000 and runs until June 30th. Rewards for contributing include a digital copy of the movie (for contributing $5.00 or more), a personalized voicemail greeting by Mintz, along with the lower amount’s rewards ($300.00 or more), and an executive producer credit that will include lunch…and the possibility of friendship * ($10,000 or more).
