Scream Factory have announced that they will release a Collector’s Edition Blu-ray of Clive Barker’s 1995 movie Lord Of Illusions on December 16th.
In Lord Of Illusions, Scott Bakula (who’s now on NCIS New Orleans) starts as a private detective who gets involved with a dame (Famke Janssen from X-Men) after her magician husband mysteriously dies. But, as you probably guessed by the fact that I called her a “dame,” it all goes to hell from there.
Lord Of Illusions was written and directed by Clive Barker, and based on his short story “The Last Illusion,” which was first published in Books Of Blood: Volume 6 and the book Cabal.
As for the Lord Of Illusions: Collector’s Edition Blu-ray, it will not only include the original theatrical version of the film, but also a new high definition transfer of Clive Barker’s director’s cut, which has an optional commentary by Barker.
The Blu-ray will also include deleted scenes with optional commentary by Barker, a new interview with storyboard artist Martin Mercer, a pair of making-of/behind-the-scenes featurettes called “A Gathering Of Magic” and “Illusion Of Reality,” and a photo gallery.
The Lord Of Illusions: Collector’s Edition Blu-ray is currently available for pre-ordering from Amazon for $24.99.
